CES 2027 Corporate Travel Guide

CES is not simply a four-day show for many companies. Media activity, customer meetings, exhibitor responsibilities and international arrivals can make the real travel program longer and more complex.

Understand the CES timeline before choosing flights

The CES 2027 exhibit schedule runs January 6–9, while official media activity begins earlier on January 4–5. Companies with press teams, product launches, exhibit setup or executive briefings may need travelers in Las Vegas before the main show opens.

Build separate arrival groups for booth teams, executives, press/PR staff and ordinary attendees rather than forcing everyone onto one schedule.

Hotel strategy depends on where your team spends the day

CES activity is distributed across a large Las Vegas footprint. The correct hotel can differ for a team focused on Las Vegas Convention Center exhibits versus executives attending meetings, media events or customer programs elsewhere.

Before committing, map the top three locations each traveler category needs to reach. A slightly higher room rate can be worth it if it removes repeated daily transportation for a large group.

Transportation planning matters more than usual

CES produces intense demand on hotels, roads and transportation. Avoid building a schedule that assumes instant rideshare availability between high-demand venues.

  • Use fixed-route systems where they align with the itinerary.
  • Pre-arrange important executive and customer transfers.
  • Give large groups exact pickup locations.
  • Allow buffer time before media events, keynotes and client dinners.

Plan differently for international teams

CES draws companies from around the world. International teams may need more arrival buffer for long-haul travel, baggage, immigration, time-zone recovery and internal preparation.

For DACH or other European groups, arriving one day earlier can be operationally cheaper than losing the first business day to fatigue, delayed luggage or missed setup.

Client meetings and hospitality

During CES, desirable restaurants and private dining rooms can book far in advance. Identify high-priority customer nights before the team arrives.

Use hospitality intentionally: quieter dinners for substantive discussion, lounges for flexible networking, and premium entertainment for relationship-building after formal meetings.

Departure planning

Do not automatically send every traveler home on the final show afternoon. Separate the departure plan for exhibitors, executives and attendees based on actual closeout responsibilities and flight availability.
