Understand the multi-venue format first
AWS re:Invent 2026 programming runs across Caesars Forum, Caesars Palace, Encore, MGM Grand, The Venetian and Wynn. AWS specifically advises attendees to allow additional time when moving between properties.
That makes this event different from a single-convention-center trip: the “best” hotel depends heavily on which sessions, keynotes and partner meetings matter most to your team.
Choose the hotel around the session mix
If the Expo, keynotes and a large share of your team’s sessions are at The Venetian, staying near that part of the campus can reduce friction. If leadership or security teams have content concentrated around Wynn/Encore, a north-Strip strategy may make more sense. MGM Grand can be practical for teams with significant south-campus programming.
For mixed teams, consider whether one central hotel is more important than minimizing movement for every individual. A common company hotel can simplify internal meetings, breakfast briefings and evening coordination.
Build realistic travel time between venues
Do not schedule sessions at separate properties back-to-back simply because the event catalog allows both selections. Include walking, resort navigation, venue entry and traffic.
- Use walking for genuinely adjacent properties.
- Use pre-arranged vehicles for executives and fixed-time customer meetings.
- Allow extra time for evening moves when the Strip is busy.
- Do not assume a rideshare pickup location is next to the conference room.
Coordinate split schedules
Large re:Invent teams often split across technical tracks, keynotes, partner meetings and customer sessions. Keep one shared company layer on top of individual calendars:
- company breakfast or daily briefing location;
- critical customer meetings;
- executive availability;
- team dinner / partner event times;
- transportation commitments.
This prevents individual session plans from causing missed business commitments.
Client and partner hospitality
re:Invent attracts a dense network of AWS customers, partners and technology vendors, so evening calendars can fill quickly. Reserve important dinners earlier than you would for an ordinary Las Vegas trip.
For business-development conversations, favor quieter private or semi-private dining over environments where the entertainment overwhelms the meeting. For relationship-building, a hosted experience can work well once the formal conversation is complete.
Arrival strategy
Badge pickup and activities begin Sunday, November 29 at select locations, while the main conference week runs November 30 through December 4. Teams with Monday-morning responsibilities should strongly consider Sunday arrival rather than relying on a same-day flight.
